Had a dream last night that I was making out with Jennifer Aniston. We were watching an amateur baseball games from behind ome plate, when she reached over and asked me how my marriage was. Before I could answer, she started kissing me, with wierd, quick, bite-like kisses. As I tried to slow her down and run fingers through her hair, I woke up. Damn. I could feel the hair.

Last day of the year
Funny - If the Conservatives had made the same racist blog comments that were made in a Liberal blooger's blog, Liberal exec resigns over blog insults
, it would be plastered non-stop over every media outlet in the dominion non-stop about how racist/bigoted those dinosaur right-wingers of the Conservatives were - but it seems that because a Liberal made the comments, the comments are downplayed as immature, private comments by an individual...Tories, Grits tied in latest poll - interesting. Conservatives are actually ahead in the whole country outside of Quebec. Which means if they want to win, they have to win the election in Quebec, against the tide of adscam and the Bloc. I'm surprised - the Income Trust Probe seems to have moved the polls like adscam couldn't, even though I think that adscam was much worse. Income Trust leak was just about money. Adscam was stealing money and using that money to electoral advantage. ...Team Canada's lines in the Olympics will be as follows: 1) Heatley, Sakic, Inginla 2) Bertuzzi, Lecavelier, St. Louis 3) Gagne, Thornton, Nash 4) Draper, Richards, Doan - Sakic/Inginla showed chemistry in 2002. Lecavelier/St. Louis play on the same line in Tampa Bay. Gange/Thornton/Nash showed chemistry in world championships last year. Draper/Doan will be checkers and Richards is the last center. Heatley is the better than Bertuzzi, so he will be on 1) with Sakic, leaving Bertuzzi with Lecavelier/St. Louis. Ryan Smyth will either take Bertuzzi's spot if Todd continues to show rust or Draper's spot if he continues this years poor play.

Cuban baseball team banned from world championships by Americans - scared of losing, eh?...Paul Martin picking fights with the Americans - I think it's hilarious sthat Martin says that Canada won't be dictated to - didn't he just spend the environment conference in Montreal dictating to the Americans? Hypocritical, no?...Italians to tax porn - no comment necessary...one of my slide pictures qualified for CAPA (top 6 out of 28 entries) and was part of our club entry that finished 4th in Canada in the pictorial slide category...If Harper promises income splitting, I will campaign door-to-door for him

Sunday
I have now finished in last place the last 2 photo contests for my local camera club...no confidence vote either the 24th or the 28th...Yzerman complaining that the new nhl is "not hockey" - maybe the game is just to quick for him now (2 g and 4 assists for season so far, basically one Dan Heatley game)...Black's Photography selling 5 iso 100 24 exposure rolls for 14 bucks, good deal.

Tuesday
My brother got married 3 days ago...caterers forgot to deliver the $1500 of wine we ordered, I ended up driving around downtown Toronto, in a Tux and a convertible BMW, searching for cases of wine...on the Friday previous to the wedding, went to the strip local strip club - the strippers wanted $360 for an hour which seems a bit rich...I think that the oppostion parties should bring forth a non-confidence vote immediately and forget the dancing - corrupt is corrupt, throw the bums out...after driving for a few days on the "Deathrace 2000" streets of Toronto, I know that I could never move back...the Distillary District in Toronto is absolutely beautiful - a collection of multiple buildings a streets that looks like it dropped out of a Dicken's novel.
Wednesday, November 9
Tuesday
NFL Cheerleaders arrested for having sex in bathrrom of bar...Cruise ships defeats pirates with sonic weapn....Vatican backs evolution, but Kansas City Board of Education backs Intelligent Design...is it just me or is the world getting wierd.

Thursday
I distinctly remember the first time I thought about girls in a sexual way. I was eleven years old in grade 6, and the teacher had sent 4 of us boys out of the classroom into the hallway to work on some project. As I cracked open my book, another boy (named Robert, I think) talked to his friend about how a girl they new had zipped down her shirt to show her b**bs to another boy. All of a sudden it hit me. I had never thought of girls before that precise moment, and have not been able to turn off the tap since then.

Sunday
Copyright to fight Intelligent Design quacks?....Monarchist League - I read this message board and almost pissed myself laughing...Found an east-coast scala processing lab, yay!...After surfing wikipedia, I discovered that I am a lollard! - amazing how one can find oneself through random surfing - Thank Goodness it wasn't something wierder.

Monday
Wierd series of dreams last night - dreamt about ex-girlfriend Danielle, the guy she cheated on me with Tim, a wierd hillbilly car race that I was taking part in, scary, creepy death-like creatures (hood, black face, skeletal arms coming at me through a portal in the wall.

Thursday
Not playing ultimate this year, too pricey ($65 for the fall season - bit rich for frisbee)...enclosed picture is of a guy welding girders into place at the top of the Blue Cross building extension...new nhl rules rock...somebody came to my blog with search parameters about "last guy in nhl to not wear a helmut" - ansewr is "Brad Marsh"...my iso800 pictures turned out really well, much to my surpise - I was under the impression that the grain would be much more noticeable...can't believe that idiot (I used to like him, to my shame) Gille Duceppe said that Moncton is not bilingual - half of the conversations that I overhear in Moncton are bilingual, usally with all parties in the conversation switching leisurely between the languages

I'm so f@#$d
I'm so f@#$d at work. They want us to help out with a project at a remote location that is out of time and out of budget, but the pinheads on the project don't seem to understand how bad the project is and they are being real pricks about accepting help. Time to fire some f$%#%g consultants. Just once, I would like to start a project myself instead of coming in after a project is already f#@$@#$d and cleaning up someone elses f@#$#g mess...I need to drink . Pairie Fire shots and B-52 shots, alternating, for about 4 hours is about what I need. It's been too long since I had Tequila. Too long. Damn...discovered that my cousin has a serious gambling addiction. In deep, too deep to loan sharks. Beyond my ability to easily remedy, and you don't want to become an enabler. But ya gotta do something, just not sure what...I gotta call in sick tomorrow.

One of those days
Interesting picture. I like the disparity in attitudes - the redhead looks all intense and serious. The girl on the left seems to be laughing. The redhead's hand on the throat of the girl on the left seems like a subtle power move. I like the flesh tones in this picture. Large round earings vs small, appears to be diamond earings on the redhead. Classy brown outfit on the girl on the left and appears to be more unkempt, bra showing, mismatch on the redhead. I like how the photographer has gotten right in on the action, filled the frame.

Sunday
Doublespeak of the Month - Reg Alcock has the cajones to say that the Conservatives that are embarrassing the civil service by "mentioning" the scandals - it couldn't possibly be the government or civil service for engaging in scandalous behaviour, could it?....Eli Manning was a brilliant fantasy pool pick on my part, 4 tds today...really nice, warm, Autumn day today

Saturday
Male Models die by jumping over fence in the dark trying to avoid paying a $40 taxi fair, but died because in the dark they couldn't see that there was a 60 foot dtrop on the other side of the fence...darwinism at work....how the #@$@#$ can Paul Coffin not get jail time for stealing 1.5 million dollars in 15 fraud counts?...if Roger Clemons isn't the gratest picther of all time, I don't no anything about baseball - he has won twice as many cy youngs as anyone else, and is currently leading the NL in era at the age of 43...by the way, I was wrong about the Red Sox signing of David Wells - who knew a 41 year old fat guy with a bad back would win 16 games?...Weazled out of flying to Vancouver for 2 weeks for work, I hat eflying to Vancouver...if I am going to spend 7-8 hours in a plane I flying to Europe, dammit...Wild Gorillas seen using tools - take that, "Intelligent Design" losers...for the love of god, please let science and darwinism win the Intelligent Design court case, or else the western world is headed towards another dark age, kind of like when the greeks bugged out when they discovered irrational numbers

Google Search beta released...My fantasy football team won it's first game! Pretty good, considering I don't watch football. To celebrate I cut my starting quarterback and kicker. Lefty QB Mark Brunnell is my big hope now...great poster by the Switchblade Valentines...More people come to my blog by searching for Rona Ambrose than anything else - Rona, you will be PM in my lifetime...ok I know my blog sucks, but NO MORE SPAM COMMENTS FROM WEBSITES SELLING CRAP - leave comments if you like my site (please?) but I will never buy anything (I am very poor) from spamsters

Tuesday
8 bucks for Grand Theft Bus, bit much for a club band...I might just go postal on a know-it-all in the back row of the camera course I'm taking at Ivan's Camera - I mean why does a guy take the course when he knows every@#$@!!thing about cameras?...Mulroney sure stepped in it, eh?
Monday, September 12
Monday
Great headline that you don't see often - "Nukes if Necessary" (seen on front page of today's National Post)...WHA era finally over - Mark Messier, last active player who took a shift in the WHA, retired today, age 44, after 25 years in the NHL - I always remember him as the one player that the Soviets could never contain in the 84/87 Canada Cups...Paul Martin's idea of building refineries in Canada is actually a good one, I would like to here more details on it - if you could actually do it by building the refineries where it made the most economical sense without political considerations I might actually vote for the man...I officialy hate my job today, reasons withheld

Reversing Falls Bridge
Went to the Rolling Geriatrics (Stones) concert in Moncton. WellI didn't actually go as in pay, or as in enter the gates, but I went to the area leading up to the entrance gates to people watch. Saw this incredibly hot number (picture to follow once I get the slides developed) wearing tight little daisy dukes and light-brown cowboy boots and a nice little straw cowboy hat...unfortunately, her boyfriend looked tough enough to pound me into left-over spam...as I was phoning a friend near the magnetic hill gates I saw a guy, completely wasted, wearing no shirt, shorts + undershorts down to his knees, walking casually and blissfully to the main road...I wonder how that turned out...a lot of babes going to the concert...one statuesque babe wearing a string bikini top and a cowboy hat leaped out into the road and tried to thumb down a ride....in a first for red-blooded males, the guy drriving the car actually turned her down...organizers did a fantastic job of organizing things, no true signs of chaos

Some geek I know
Back from vacation. Went to Fundy, hiked a lot. Went to Buctouche, very pretty there. Was given a very nice 70-300mm lense for my retro Nikon FE SLR, which is very nice. Going to take a photography course from Maurice Henri in September, another gift for my birthday. Trying hard to ignore the whole governor general nonsense, but this is what you can expect when one person, acting alone and without consultation, can appoint the head of state. Andy Savoy attacking Bernard Lord for the latter's criticism of the GG selection is amazingly dumb - any citiizen in a democracy has the right, nay the duty, to question any action of the government that they deem suspect, and last time I checked, Bernie was a citizen. My ultimate frisbee team finished dead last in our ultimate league, not helped of course by my feeble come back attempt from my fractured foot. Amazingly hot girls in the Saint John city market yesterday for some reason.

Path
Drove to Halifax, worked the morning, then drove back to Moncton, all by 4:30...stopped by downtown Amherst on the way back - the turn-of-the century buildings are very well preserved - I don't know where the money comes from though, doesn't seem to be any serious businesses in town...enclosed picture is from the Sackvile Waterfowl park, using my beloved Agfa black and white slide film...World's second largest cruise ship in Saint John, that's kind of cool

Journey
Funny - just as I was criticizing Asimov's Foundation series, along comes this - Cell Phones Predict the Future - basically, using math + previous data (in large quantities) to predict human's behaviour - exactly the premise of Asimov's Fuondation series...This scares me - Canadian Telco Admits to Blocking Union's Website - the willingness of an internet provider to censor content for no other reason than they don't like it - well that just gives me the "big brother" corporate willies - BOYCOTT TELUS !!!...The new NHL rules rock...I can't believe those dinosaurs actually had the balls to make these changes...no-red line rule (I almost typed no red loin which might have been more interesting) might have the extra effect of forcing teams to choose more-mobile defencemen over less-mobile physical defencement to avoid getting burned, which should also help cut down on the clutch and grab...shootout rule might tempt teams to give that last lineup spot to a sniper instead of a plugger, which also should help scoring.
Second Foundation
Found my copy if Asimov's Second Foundation behind my bookcase, rereading it...I like it, but the foundation series tends to re-use the same plot devices with small variations over and over...can't put it down, though...gorgeous girl in tank top leaned over in front of me today, I had such a good view that I could see through the cleavage to the inside/bottom of the bra-bridge, as seen from the top...not that, as a gentleman, I would notice...do women who wear tank-tops not know what happens when they lean over?...enclosed picture is from Saint John, N.B....I liked the colours...
Tuesday, July 19
Tuesday
Got my black and white slide delivered today - they look marvelous, kudos to Toronto Image Works...got them back 6 business days after sending...two phot contests upcoming, Sandpiper Festival in Dorchester (due July 22), and one in Hillsoborogh, date unknown (around the 20th)...problem is, these contests usually want pictures of people and nature, and as anyone knows, I usually take pictures of buildings only...part of the reason is that I don't have a devent telephoto lens...or any telephoto lense, for that matter...interesting court case out west - some guy is suing the government under the charter of rights because he can't allow smokers in his bar yet the native-owned bar can...basically saying laws have to apply to all or noone....interesting if he won, as some of the natives don't pay taxes either...wouldn't that be neat - against the charter of rights to pay taxes

Dreams
I had a dream involving Danielle, my first girlfriend again...it was wierd, different than the others...he hair was all dyed, stringy, she was wearing loose, raggy clothes...unlike other dreams where she is very sensual, coming on to me all the time...very stand-offish, in and out of the dream, and I kept telling her honest things, which of course I never did when we went out...took pictures of a nice church (built 1825) in Grand Barachois today, a place I have never been...Funny quote of the day - Mariah Carey has wardrobe malfunction , and the link is quoted as saying "..Quick-thinking organisers plunged the stage into darkness to protect the star's modesty..." (when her dress fell apart)...ok, I saw the dress (don't feel like posting the picture, kinda humdrum mood today), her "great tracts of land" :) are spilling every which way out of the dress, no way can you describe this as being modest in any context, and this is before it fell apart.
Thursday, July 7
Confederation Bridge
Damn foot is fractured, have to wear an air cast and use crutches for a month...was supposed to go to Halifax tomorrow, that's off now...Atlantic Nationals car show is out, as well as ultimate frisbee...
Wednesday, July 6
Twisted Ankle
Twisted my ankle playing ultimate tonight. We were getting killed 14-2 and I twisted my ankle trying to block a pass - I'm beginning to think that I'm a real pinhead....saw the hottest chick today riding a harley, clad head-to-toe in leather, bomber helmut, tight blonde pony tail sticking out from back of helmut - I actually had my camera on me but froze...Checkpoint Charlie Torn down - historians will rue this day. The exact point where the counter philosophies of democracy/capitalism and communism stood toe to toe, armed to the teeth, with the collective firepower to wipe out humanity, for 40+ years - gone. What are they thinking?
Monday, July 4
Sackville "Waterfowl Park"
Sony confidant you'll work harder (more hours) for their PS3...PS3 at $500, IPods at $500+...wouldn't ya rather take the time you would have to work to get these toys and go to the beach? I would...Liberals hit funding wall - I could care less about the sponsoship scandal - I think we should have the RCMP check and see what the Liberals are stealing right now - they obviously think Harper is more dangerous than Satan and have already stated in the sponsoship inquiry that they think it's legit to bend the rules if they think it's good for the country, of course loosely defining good for the country as them always being in power.
Saturday, July 2
Off to Saint John
Off to Saint John tomorrow, to take black and white slide photos of all it's stone churches...won at ultimate this week, first win...Top 25 questions in Science...xampp is the finest open-source tool I have ever used, damn user-friendly...Lemiuex on Team Canada? He's played, what, 15 nhl games in last 2 years?...Yzerman's a question mark too...no room for Sidney Crosby? I would take a shot on his young legs for a 4th line spot...I would really love it if someone (anyone) could leave a comment or sign my guestbook, just one person....just one!!!!....I know it's a boring blog, but at least it's real thoughts, not just link to or aggregate other peoples stuff...might go see the Saint John Wanderers play the Riverview Mustangs in Millidgeville tomorrow at 2:00...

My Movie History
First movie I remember seeing - 101 Dalmations, around 1973...Last movie, as a kid, with my mom - Star Wars, 1977...Only movie I remember with my grandfather, father's side - Every Which Way But Loose, 1978...only movie I have ever been turned down for, age reasons - Bachelor Party, 1984...movie I saw first school night, university - Rocky IV, 1985...one of the last movies I remember watching with my best high school friend, and certainly the one we enjoyed the most - Top Gun, 1986...last movie I saw (while in Saint John)with Owen Smith - Evil Dead II, 1987...Worst movie that I ever saw - Ishtar, 1987...Worst movie that I saw more than once - Witches of Eastwick, 1987...last movie I ever saw with my first girlfriend, Johny Be Good, 1988 (no wonder she got rid of me)...man, why did I go and see so many bad movies in 1987?
Monday
Blackhole, Herbie Goes Bananas, Every Which Way But Loose. Three movies I remember watching at the movie theatre at Lancater mall, when it still had a movie theatre. I went to see Every Which Way But Loose with my grandfather in 1978, and I remember feeling embarrassed because one of the previews showed a women wearing a lacy corset...I remember the lineup being all the way down the mall hallway for the Herbie movie...I remembr having a $1 to go to the mall, and being mad that I couldn't quite get three comics (which at 35 cents each would cost 1.05) - 3 comics these days would cost me $15 which I probably wouldn't do...wierd, eh - at 10 years old I could easily afford 3 comics on a shopping trip but nowadays, a highly paid professional, I wince at the price of 3 comics...First comic I remember buying was a fantastic four comic, one where the Thing was hanging out with the Hulk but then fights him when he hurts one of the other fantastic four ...bought it at the Shopper's Drug Mart, Towers mall, Saint John...I remember when the Irving on Main Street, Lancaster stopped selling comics, which meant that I could no longer get a comic on the way home from our Sunday night visits with my grandfather. Random thoughts on a Monday.
Sunday
I want to move to Sackville...seems like a nice place to hide..I would just hang out in the cafe, bookstore, and convenience store down town, and go that retro theatre once and awhile...and walk the waterfowl park everyday...
Saturday, June 25
Friday.
I have been to Vancouver, London England, Nice in France, Edinborough, Chicago, Paris, Ottawa, Washington, Boston, Cleveland, Baltimore, York, the Lake District in England, Glastonbury, Toronto, Kansas City, New Orleans, Houston. I have been 2 feet away from the Rosetta Stone in the British museum, stood on the HMS Victory, walked in the Capitol building, walked down the French Quarter in New Orleans, stood under the Eiffel tower, stood in front of stonehenge, taken pictures in Versailles. I have played league games in Lacrosse, hockey, soccer, water polo, basketball, baseball, softball. I have two university degrees, including a master's degree that I aquired after having failed out due to low gpa at another university. I have fooled around with the daughter of one of my university professors. I have fooled around with two seperate woman on the same day. I once won a hockey playoff series with a series-ending penalty shot. Not a bad list. But I always feel as if I am missing something, like life is passing me by. Blah.

Bradford
Ok, today's theme is reality shows....
Michael Jackson Reality Show...realit,y coming from Michael, that would be a first, I think...
Celeberity American Idol - they quote that they are going to get A-list stars to try out - yeah, good one, we're going to see Tom Cruise and Angelina Jolie....more likely more Brady Bunch/Partridge Family style leftovers...
Reality Show Writer's strike - love this - don't all the advertisements for reality shows boast up the 'unscripted part'...how can you write reality?

Tuesday
Lost opening game of ultimate frisbee today...didn't play bad, didn't play well, just kind of there...my black and white slide film arrived today, less than 24 hours after ordering for only 8 dollars shipping - way to go Applebys...China orders chinese websites/blogs to register with government - I can see this as a future boondoggle that our marvelessly inept government would attempt...
Monday, June 6
Monday
Appleby's camera in Saint John sells Agfa black and white slide film ! Yay ! Saves me a bundle in time and money shipping it from the States...Gurmant Grewal got caught? Arrested? today hanging out in an airport trying to get passengers to carry a package to Ottawa for him - not sure why he didn't ship it or take it himself - this guy is really wierd. Everybody knows you don't accept packages from strangers on flights - maybe he's had a Svend Robinson style breakdown...put together a toddler bed tonight, once again proving that I am the least handy guy in the known universe...big plan this summer - I am going to create a "musical ligne" - a series of photos, with a connecting theme, presented to music - I am going to use stone churches (or maybe just churches) in New Brunswick, in black and white, to "Amazing Grace"
Sunday, June 5
Blah
Kind of getting the blues. I'm beginning to worry I take photos to try and impress others, not because I like to. That I blog to see what other think not that I like to keep a diary. Everything I do I seem to be concious of what others think. I wish I could just let go, like Luke Skywalker turning off his targeting computer when attacking the death star, relying on his own instincts. Problem is my instincts aren't pretty. Porn. Cheating on girlfriend. Mindless video games. Wandering around aimlessly. I remember watching a movie years ago and there's a quote that stuck in my mind - "...there are no real New Yorkerers - everyone came from somewhere else." I wonder if there is no real me. Just someone trying to impress others.
Wednesday, June 1
Nice Day
Not sure why there is all the fuss about the Gurmant Grewal tapes...at best, they only prove that government posts will be traded by the Liberal government for votes, but we already know that - that's the only reason Stronach is sitting in a Senior Cabinet position with no political experience...the ministry she got is a hoot as well - as if she ever had to worry about unemployment - she found she can become a CEO and a Cabinet minister with one year of university and no experience...Bought Alexander Solzhenitsyn's "August 1914" for $1.20 and the Reader's Digests' "Strange Stories and Amazing Facts" for $.80 at the Owl's Attic used book store which was having a 90% off moving sale...Got $750 rebate from Suzuki after buying a new car for being a recent grad, which is a laugh because I qualified for graduating as far back as June 2001...Gurmant Grewal isn't exactly coming off too well in this tape thing either - by not releasing the tapes immediately he's leaving himself open to tampering charges...got to 23c today and going to 27c tomorrow, gotta bring camera to work
Tuesday, May 31
Sunny days
Finally, sun in Moncton...+20, first tank top siting, girls in light summer dresses...mmmm...ultimate frisbee starts again next week...desperately need a haircut, everyone is making fun of my retro 70's do...government didn't fall today, as far as I know...those tapes by Grewal have potential for fun...included picture is of a beautiful church in Saint John...
Thursday, May 26
Bladerunner
This incessant rain never stops. Somehow Moncton has fallen through the space/time continuum and landed in the middle of the Bladerunner universe....Can you imagine having the this girl (from yesterday's Toronto Sun sunshine girl spot) as your girlfriend? I just cannot fathom it. I can't even focus when looking at the picture. She is to intensely hot to stare at directly...somehow got tricked into running my local camera club's website today...summer ultimate frisbee starts in two weeks...don't you just love those short-short-cropped bottoms...good pose as well, as if you caught her just as she was about to pull them off...as you can tell, not getting any these days, reduced to fantasizing about sunshine girls...
Sunday, May 15
We're not going to invade Sudan
From the National Post - Sudan turns down Martin's offer of troops, saying they were not consulted - some much for the statement that the Sudan plan was well thought out and planned and not a desperate vote-buying gamble...Post also said that the troops might be sent anyway but "unarmed"...oh, that's going to be fun, sending unarmed, unwelcome troops into a warzone...I can't even make a sarcastic comment about that one, it speaks for itself...I wonder what Kilgour is going to do now - he said he wouldn't vote with Liberals unless they send 500 troops, Sudan says they don't want any...can you imagine if a Sudanese government person started a campaign to send troops to Canada, without consulting Canada...that would be well received
Friday, May 13
Broadbent come through
Just when I was about to become a complete anarchist, hating all politicians, Ed Broadbent does a very honourable thing by agreeing to not vote in the budget vote because of Stinson on the opposing side missing because of cancer surgery...I would love to hear Martin, Valeri, and Layton's take on this...knowing Eddie, betcha he's flying solo on this idea...way to go, Ed!
Thursday, May 12
Beach in Saint John
Beer truck turns over on 401 today, snarling the 401 in a "sea of beer"...liberals ignore no-confidence vote, filibuster their own budget, stalling until two cancer-ridden conservative MPs are too sick to voe, sure makes me proud...Eva Longoria tops maxims list of beautiful women, no surprise, she is the only reason I watch TV...she is so good looking that you can't watch "Desperate Housewifes" with girls you date lest you suddenly burst out "man, she's hot" several times in the middle of the show...skipped the championship game of our ultimate frisbee tonight, just don't have the spirit anymore...Does anyone remember the movie Spinal Tap, when the band started out playing in stadiums, then ended up in progressively smaller venues until ending up in a public park second billed as "puppet show and spinal tap"? Well, the Rolling Geriatrics play Moncton reminds me of that scene, for some reason.
Sunday, May 8
Have the election now
Paul Martin says that he will hold an election 30 days after Gomery's report, which would mean January. The Cons/Bloc wants the election in June. So the question is not whether or not to have an election (and it's associated costs), but when to have one, either now or 6 months from now. 6 months is a very short time in politics. Hell, they usually have all the summer off for vacation. If you wait until January, you give the Liberals 6 months to buy our votes (latest : 5 billion for Ontario )+ the government being held hostage to demands for every songle vote, such as invading Sudan to get David Kilgour's vote (I do think intervening in the Sudan is a good idea, but it should be a well thought out, planned part of government policy not just a desperation grab the vote idea)....in non-political matters, my ultimate frisbee team is 2-0 in playoff games that I have missed, so maybe I shouldn't go o the final game tonoght.

On the NDP-Liberal deal
Brilliant move by the Liberals and NDP. The deal won't prevent an election - looks like 154-152 and maybe 155-151 for the opposition (now 2 out of 3 independants ready to vote against government)...but it positions the Liberals to categorize the conservatives as "...teaming with those evil seperatists.."...good move by the NDP as it shows that even a 19-member party can effect the budget and weakens the Liberals because they reneged on a deal and weakens the Conservatives because it shows the opposition isn't united with the Conservatives in the lead - accompanying photo is my pick for "photo of the day" from flickr, a free photo upload site - love the cleavage, love the saucy, relaxed look, love the unkempt role-in-the-sack hair style, love the tight jeans, just love the whole darn thing. Photo not by me, of course.
Willow's Guest Blog
Due to my addiction to world of warcraft, I have recruited my 2-year old friend Willow to update my blog....this picture is the first picture she ever took, of her stuffed animal stork, who she names "Duck"...Willow likes water and tulips (and smelling tulips), sesame street (Bert is her favourite character), hockey, bananas, alphagettis, going to the zoo (she says the rooster is her favourite animal and that she is scared of wolves), she is also scared of the rain and planes...Willow requires 2 stories, a rock in her favourite rocking chair, and a full bottle of milk before going to bed, which she quickly chugs...alphabet book is her favourite, but don't she always skips the "G" page...likes to go swimming but she doesn't really swim she wades...

World of Warcraft Addiction
I've given up all productive life to commit myself to playing world of warcraft full time. I'm showing the classic signs of addiction - not even blogging much lately because all computer time must be warcraft time...might be time to erase this demon game from my computer...I actually hope that the conservatives don't bring down the government, I think that they should wait until the Gomery inquiry is near done...it's only to their advantage, stuff gets jucier every day...Liberal defence of "rogue element inside of party" doesn't really cut it - if you can't run your own party, how are ya going to run a country?

U.S. Blogger Breaches Canadian Publication Ban - Adscam
It's nice to know our American neighbours have a greater ability to report on Canadian news than Canadians do:
U.S. Blogger Breaches Canadian Publication Ban - Adscam
Of course, publication bans don't really work in the internet age. Even though they said "sharing links can get you in trouble", what about sharing easily searchable text such as Canoe did. Canoe, with this story, gives you the nice searchable phrase "Canada's Corruption Scandal Breaks Wide Open", plug that into google, and see what happens.
Also nice to know that the right of an crook to a fair trial outweighs a countries right to free elections.

Canadian Government to fall.....
As I said in an earlier post, the Canadian government will fall because of the adscam controversey, see Election chatter grows...wow, I'm dying to find out what the "Explosive new testimony before the sponsorship inquiry..." is....I bet that one of the witnesses admitted that Paul Martin orchestrated something...what if we have an election and we end up with the exact same electoral makeup?...for some reason, this motely crew hanging out in front of a local used bookstore was interesting to me...it is interesting that the state-run organ CBC makes no mention of this "Explosive Testimony"...saw the most amazing woman at the Champlain mall today, white suit/skirt combo, brunette hair, deep cleavage...damn.

Stone Henge
I am rarely proud of politicians, but I am today. Norm McFarlane, mayor of Saint John, not only signed a good deal with Irving to get much-need jobs into town with the LMG plant, but he faced town and angry mob to do so. I like his "I will take the political heat for this...it's a good deal". One of the angry mobsters was quoted on the radio as saying that council approving the deal was an "insult to democracy". Not sure how - isn't democratically elected representatives voting (with majority deciding) the very definition of democracy? Would be swayed by a random, angry mob been more democratic? Bravo, Norm.

Lollygagging in Sackville
Took the afternoon off, hung out in Sackville...love the quaint, 1940s style feel of the place...I think you could get bored quickly here though...I hope that the government does not fall because of a lost vote on the Kyoto provisions on the ballet - that would be silly. Governments should fall because of great debates over grand ideas, not sub-clauses to sub-clauses that nobody really understands...I hope Barry Bonds does not go to jail for lying to the grand jury...letter to the Moncton paper had some guy from northern NB complaining that the EI requirements of 14 weeks worked in a year were too stringent - he thought it should be reduced to 12 - hey buddy why should us poor shlobs who work all year at dead end job pay for you yabbos to sit on your buts 44 out of 56 weeks a year???..,If Saint John backs out of that deal with Irving I am renouncing my birth place as long as I live.
